Byde is an iPhone app that turns the clothes you already own into outfits. You add your wardrobe once, and Byde builds complete looks around your weather, your plans and how you want to dress. What Byde is
Byde is a wardrobe assistant, a “smart closet” for men. It does three things:
- Digital closet. Capture and organise your wardrobe in one place on your phone.
- Outfit planning. Build combinations faster and plan what to wear, for today, the week or a trip.
- Style growth. Track your preferences and sharpen your personal style over time.
The idea behind it is simple: you probably already own everything you need, you just can't see it. Byde isn't a shop or a mood board. It's a way to get a complete, wearable outfit from pieces in your own wardrobe, in seconds.
Who it's for
Byde is designed around menswear: the categories, fits and style profiles match how men actually dress. Anyone can download it from the App Store, but the product is built for men.
It suits you if:
- You own plenty of clothes but keep wearing the same few.
- You'd rather get a real outfit than scroll through inspiration.
- You want to plan outfits ahead instead of deciding when you're already late.
- You travel and want to pack outfits, not piles of clothes.
- You're curious which of your clothes you actually wear.
You'll need an iPhone. Byde is iPhone-only for now, with no Android or web app yet.
The core features
Your digital closet
Add the pieces you actually wear. One photo per item is enough, and you can also add items from the Closet library without taking photos. Weather-aware AI outfits
Tell Byde the occasion, such as a date night, a work meeting or weekend coffee, and it builds a weather-aware outfit from your closet in one tap. It's built from pieces you own, for the day you're actually having, and it often surfaces combinations you wouldn't have put together yourself. You can also pre-select a piece you want to wear and let Byde build the rest of the outfit around it.
Free Play (no AI)
Not in the mood for suggestions? Free Play is a manual outfit builder: drag and drop pieces and build outfits yourself, with no AI and no limits. AI in Byde is optional.
Week planning
Schedule outfits for the days ahead, so you're never making style decisions when you're already running late.
Trip packing planner

How Byde works, step by step
- Download Byde on your iPhone from the App Store.
- Add your clothes: one photo per item, or pick matching items from the Closet library.
- Set your style profile with the visual style finder.
- Ask for an outfit: choose the occasion and get a weather-aware look from your closet, or build one yourself in Free Play.
- Plan ahead: schedule the week or plan a trip (Premium).
- Keep it current: mark what's in the laundry and add new pieces as you buy them.
- Learn from it: check closet analytics to see what you actually wear (Premium).

Start on the free plan with the 20 pieces you wear most. If you want more items, more generated outfits or planning, upgrade from inside the app. Current Premium prices are shown on the App Store.
Privacy and your photos
Photos you upload are stored so Byde can show your closet and generate outfits. Byde doesn't sell your personal data. AI providers process images only to power those features, not to train their general models without your consent. You can delete your account and data in the app: open Profile, choose Delete Account and confirm. If you can't open the app, you can send a request through the contact page, and deletion requests are typically processed within 7 business days. Full details are in the privacy policy.
iPhone only, for now
Byde runs on iPhone. There's no Android or web app yet. The website, bydeapp.de, is for information, support and legal pages, and the app itself is on the App Store. Byde's download link runs through pleaseopen.me, another Eighteen1 Studios product, so it opens the App Store properly even when tapped inside TikTok or Instagram. How that was solved is a separate story.
